2022 Copyright Law & Practice Symposium Terms and Conditions
Thank you for registering for the 2022 Copyright Law & Practice Symposium – Copyright N©W: Authorship, AI and Access (“Symposium”) and/or the Copyright N©W Dinner, presented by the Copyright Society of Australia (“CSA”) with support from the University of New South Wales.
The following Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to Attendees that participate in the Symposium in-person or via Live Stream and the Symposium Dinner. “Attendee” for purposes of these Terms will include all participants at the Symposium. By participating in the Symposium, you agree to these Terms so please read them carefully.
Payment
All prices are inclusive of GST.
Payments are in Australian dollars and may be made through the CSA website by Visa or MasterCard or by direct deposit payable to the Copyright Society of Australia.

Registration and Cancellation
Registration of Attendees will be secured on receipt of payment.
One Attendee per Registration
One Registration may not be split between Attendees, including Attendees via Live-Stream.
Substitute Attendee
Registrations may be transferred to a substitute delegate at no additional cost, provided the Copyright Society of Australia is advised in writing. Please provide us with details of the substitute Attendee no later than 24 hours prior to the commencement of the Symposium.
Cancellation of Registration
Where cancellation advice is received in writing no later than 1 October 2022, a full refund of the registration fee will be made. No refunds will be made after 1 October 2022.
Covid-19 Impact
Copyright Society of Australia will transfer registration for Attendees who have opted to attend in-person to virtual attendance, if they are unable to travel to Sydney as a result of Covid-19, or if the Symposium itself needs to become a fully Live-Streamed event.
Symposium Cancellation
Should the CSA cancel the Symposium, you will receive a full refund of the amount paid. CSA will not reimburse any travel or accommodation expenses.
Program changes
Events or event programs sometimes need to be changed to address unexpected circumstances. The CSA retains the right to cancel, reschedule or vary the Symposium or Symposium program, including changing program timing, topics, speakers or venue.
Contents of Presentations, Papers & Recordings
The statements, analyses, opinions and conclusions in the Symposium and Symposium papers and materials are those of the relevant speaker or author and not of CSA.
CSA does not consent to the audio or video recording of any speakers, panels or other sessions at the Symposium.
CPD / CPE/ MCPD Accreditation
CPD/CPE points can be claimed for attending technical sessions.
If you are the holder of a New South Wales, Queensland, South Australian, Victorian or New Zealand Practising Certificate, you may be eligible to claim one MCPD/CPD point for each hour of attendance at technical sessions.
Live-Stream Recordings
Live-Stream video recordings provided by the CSA are available on request for registered Attendees and must not be shared. The pricing for Live-Stream or recordings is per person and the link, passwords or recordings of the Symposium must not be distributed to or viewed by any person other than the registered Attendee and must not be used for group viewings.
Special Dietary Requirements
CSA will make its best efforts to accommodate dietary restrictions such as gluten free, dairy free or vegetarian meals, but cannot guarantee that these will be available at each event.
Privacy
Your information is collected for the purposes of processing your Symposium Registration or purchase of other services or products from CSA.

All notices referred to here should be sent to info@copyright.asn.au
Disclaimer
Neither Copyright Society of Australia nor any of its office bearers or members shall be liable for any loss, liability, damage or expense suffered or incurred by any person arising from any unexpected circumstances including, but not limited to, circumstances where the CSA cancels, reschedules or varies the Symposium or Symposium program, including changing program timing, topics, speakers or venue.
While all care is taken to ensure the safety of Attendees, neither Copyright Society of Australia, nor any of its office bearers or members accepts liability for any loss or damage of any kind which may be incurred by Symposium participants or any accompanying person.
