Copyright Symposium
Every two years, the Society co-hosts, with the Australian Copyright Council, the Copyright Law and Practice Symposium.The next Symposium will be held in 2013.
Dr Kevin Lindgren student prize
The inaugural Kevin Lindgren Prize for the Best Student Presentation on Copyright 2011 offers students at all levels and their universities the opportunity to engage with copyright professionals and win $4000 in prizes. The winning student presented at the launch of the 2011 Copyright Symposium also receives free registration to the Symposium. The prize is named in recognition of Dr Kevin Lindgren, a former judge of the Federal Court and a former President of the Copyright Tribunal of Australia. The next competition date will be in 2013. ALRC Kirby Cup 2012
The Kirby cup is a unique opportunity for Australian law students to consider the role of law reform and law reform agencies in Australia.
The 2012 competition topic is to suggest one or more new statutory exceptions for the Copyright Act 1968 (Cth).
