DESCRIPTION:In December 2006, the jurisdiction of the Copyright Tribunal was expanded in a number of important ways. The Copyright Tribunal determines the rate of payment and certain other conditions of statutory licences and certain other music licences administered by copyright collecting societies. The Tribunal’s jurisdiction has been extended to cover other licences administered by collecting societies, such as the licences for associations, corporations and local government administered by Copyright Agency Limited.
