2nd Sept 2010: International Copyright - A European Perspective

An informative session about international copyright issues, from a European perspective.

Topics will include Europe’s reaction to the Google Book Settlement, and alternative approaches such as

Europeana and the Accessible Registries of Rights Information and Orphan Works (ARROW).
 
This will be a stimulating event for copyright professionals, the evening session will feature a
presentation from Olav Stokkmo, Chief Executive Officer of the International Federation of Reproduction
Rights Organisations (IFRRO).  Olav has an extensive knowledge of copyright issues from around the world,
drawing on a career spanning more than 20 years(including roles in European publishing houses and the
Norwegian reproduction rights organisation, Kopinor).
