Lance Kavanaugh, Senior Product Counsel for YouTube, will give an overview of YouTube, and talk about YouTube's approach to copyright (including its content management tools for copyright owners and Content ID).

Lance is responsible for product-related legal issues, including YouTube's copyright and legal removals policies. Prior to YouTube, Lance was a patent litigator at a Silicon Valley law firm, and before that, an engineering director for a large internet service provider.

Lance received his JD from The George Washington University Law School, an MS in Electrical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and a BS in Electrical Engineering from Clarkson University.
